Mainstay Hotels Australia has partnered with the travel/tourism industry to contract hotels located in popular tourist regions to ensure the product has the best accommodation distribution content throughout the country.
GO KOALA has been designed specifically for the independent traveller and features over 220 accommodation properties ranging from 3 to 5 star standard located in over 130 key city and resort locations throughout Australia.
The hotels featured in the Go Koala Programme have been carefully selected for their locations, quality facilities and high standards of personalized service.
HOW DO YOU BOOK “ GO KOALA”
Simply email, fax or telephone the booking request to Mainstay Hotels or your Inbound Tour Operator and we will respond with a confirmation. If your first choice in unavailable, the nearest available property will be booked for you.
BOOKING OPEN VOUCHERS
Go Koala is designed for flexibility and freedom of travel, however there are some locations and times of the year when pre-booking is essential. Please check the current Go Koala Directory for specific dates.
Holding an Open Dates Voucher does not guarantee accommodation. Please contact our Central Reservations Department to confirm your booking before arriving at your chosen property.
GST
The Australian government has introduced a 10% Goods & Services Tax (GST). All rates featured for Australia in the wholesale manual are GST inclusive.
HOW TO CHOOSE A PROPERTY USING THE COLOUR CODES
The range of accommodation is so varied that the range of hotels have been divided into six colour categories to assist your clients in planning their holiday. Please check the Go Koala brochure to plan your trip using the choice of colours.
It is important to note that the colour categories are determined by each properties standard double room tariff, not the quality or AAA rating of the property. Below is a guide to the colour codes:

CHILDREN
Children are welcome at Go Koala Hotels and the first child 12 years of age & under sharing with adults & using existing bedding is fee of charge. The extra person rate applies to the second child. Charges may apply if a cot is requested; these are to be paid direct to the Hotel.
